Destination Of The Week: Vasquez Rocks

Have dreams of traveling to Mars? Well if you live around Los Angeles and have a means of transportation then you are in luck. A quick 45 minute drive brings you to Vasquez Rocks... a surreal outcropping of rock formations. If you are ever in need of a shoot location that looks out of this world then I would highly recommend making a trip out here. Not only is this place incredibly photogenic, but it has quite the history in Hollywood as well. This zone has been used as a backdrop in a long list of movies including Star Trek, Blazing Saddles, and Planet Of The Apes. The photos in this post are from a couple shoots I was asked to do... obviously a little different from my usual style, but this place has a ton of potential for capturing some unique images.
